One of my most formative experiences as a musician was being a young student in a classroom, watching a bassist demonstrate all of the possibilities of the instrument. I was in awe and knew then that classical music was the path I wanted to take. When young people have the opportunity to experience and instrumental music and become inspired, not only does it have numerous emotional and intellectual benefits, it creates a new generation of artists and music appreciators.
