Ilona’s mission in bringing classical music to schools resonates in every aspect with my vision. The live medium “classical music” is understudied and sometimes misunderstood and GetClassical can reach out to the youngest in our society and bring the music to the class room. "What Ilona's GetClassical In School achieves with its initiative, goes beyond the one-time exposure of youth to classical music. Each encounter creates the sort of in-depth emotional engagement between students and guest musicians that can result in sparking lifelong interest in music. It is reasonable to assume not many of the kids, who experience GetClassical in School will necessarily go on to follow a professional path in music, but I am almost certain that they will become music lovers.
